More than 170 years
OF FAMILY HISTORY
In the 19th century
It is in the nineteenth century, that the Thomas family, located in Mourens, produced wines in the land of Château Laroque Thomas. Their daughter Danielle married Isodore Sancie, the son of a winemaker living in Sainte-Croix-du-Mont where he produced sweet wines.
In the middle of the 20th century
Their daughter Jacqueline married Joseph Cigana and developed the family vineyard. They went from 10 hectares (25 acres) to 50 hectares (125 acres). The whole family always worked together from working in the vines to the sale of the wines.
End of the 20th century
In 1992 their daughter Françoise, dental surgeon married Frédéric Boudat, podiatrist. They decide to change of careers and take over the family vineyard to carry on the tradition as becoming the 5t generation at the head of the business!
They put all their energy to renovate, restructure and expand the vineyard. Today, they own 150 hectares (370 acres) of vineyards located in 3 different areas. Their efforts are well rewarded by receiving every year many medals at wine competitions.
IN THE FUTURE
In the 21th century
Nicolas, the youngest son, has already joined the family business. His sister, Marion and his brother, Thomas will be soon part of the venture and will become the 6th generation running the vineyards.
